Feeling Stuck?
Maybe it's old patterns that keep repeating themselves or parts of your past that you can't seem to move beyond but manage to keep the pain alive.
I am here to help you to gain deeper understanding about yourself and some of the origins of your pain-points, as well as to facilitate your development of coping skills that are unique to you because of how they engage the whole you in the healing process.
As a faith-based therapist, I believe it is God's desire for us to become the people we were created to be, that is, whole, integrated beings. Amongst other facets, this means not only having the thoughts (both rational and sometimes the not-so-rational!) around a situation as well as the emotional reactions to it, but also that our bodies are participants in the experience too. This often over-looked, ignored, or even avoided aspect of oneself is actually quite important, as our bodies also go through those painful life experiences and thus play a crucial role in our healing. See more information about somatic therapy here.
Also know that while I hold a Christian faith, I welcome people of any faith or none at all. You get to determine if faith, religion, or spirituality enters our work and to what degree.
